Here is an example of my real estate photography and videography from a jLofts condo in the Old Market!
First, a bit on the listing:
- Requirements: 36 photos and a 4-minute, 16-second video
- Home specs: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
- Listed by: Sandi Downing Real Estate
Challenges I faced:
The lighting was quite a challenge. The hallway had mixed lighting—including fluorescent lights—which gave it a greenish tint. I had to overcome this unsightly hue by customizing the white balance setting so the photo would show the hallway true to sight. Another challenge I faced was the abundance of reflections in the living room leading out to the patio. The entire wall connecting the living room to the patio is covered in windows and glass doors, so it was tricky to make sure that neither my camera and I weren’t in any photos or video clips.
My favorite part:
One of my favorite parts of this condo was the concrete accents throughout the condo. The master bedroom and living room both had concrete ceilings, and concrete supports were visible along walls in several rooms. I also liked the sliding barn doors that were used in the bedrooms and some of the closets. These features worked together and really stood out to give the condo a unique, modern look.
The dual-format advantage:
This client wanted both photos and a video. The video walkthrough gives a more thorough look, something more in-depth than what photos alone can show. Since they also chose to have photos done, the agent is able to have a more versatile listing, appealing to different types of buyers. Check out how the real estate video and photos complement each other by viewing the video here and the listing photos here.
